September Band Booster Meeting

The September Band Boosters meeting will be held at the middle school band room on Monday, September 12 at 7:00 PM.

The Sept. 12 foodhandlers meeting has been moved to the middle school band room for this reason. Foodhandlers will take place at 6:00 PM.

Concession Stand Sign-Up NOW ONLINE!!

Mr. Williams has set up a website that gives you the capability to sign-up for working the concession stands online via the website at http://thecougarband.org/concessions-signup/.  If you have already signed up at the September Band Booster meeting, then you do not have to sign up again.

Instrument meeting for beginners

The instrument meeting last night for the beginners went very well. It was a pleasure to meet the parents of these wonderful students!

The next, and final, meeting will take place on Thursday night, August 25th, at 6 PM in the band room.

August Band Booster Meeting and Food Handler Training


The next Clay-Chalkville Band Booster meeting is this Monday, August 8th in the High School band room at 7:00pm.

There will also be a Health Department Food Handler Training prior to the meeting at 6:00pm in the High School band room.  Parents must attend one training session in order to work in the concession stands this football season.  The food handler certification needs to be renewed every two years, so if you attended a session last year, you do not have to be recertified this year. 

The other Food Handler Training Sessions will be held on the following dates:
*Tuesday, August 30th - Time: TBA in Middle School Band Room
*Monday, September 12th - Time: 6PM in High School Band Room

Make-up Chaperone meeting

We know that some of you were sorely affected by the recent storms.

If you were unable to attend the chaperone meeting for Washington D.C. last week, please be sure to attend the meeting on Thursday, May 5th at 7:00 PM in the middle school band room.

Awards night band

Those Advanced Band students and the few Intermediate band clarinets and trumpets that were to play for the Awards Night for the Middle School:

Please know that if awards night does take place tomorrow night as scheduled, we are still to perform. Please plan to be at Northpark Baptist Church by 4:40 as first indicated. Supper will be provided.

We will still hold the chaperone meeting tonight, as scheduled, in the middle school band room at 7:00 PM.

Student meeting about the Washington trip

The follow up student meeting to the one held in August concerning the trip to Washington D.C. will be held during school on Wednesday, May 4th.

Chaperone meeting for the Washington trip

This is a reminder that the chaperone trip meeting is tomorrow evening, Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 PM in the middle school band room. This is for chaperones that are attending the trip.

The meeting will last about an hour.


The students will have a refresher meeting with specifics during school on Wednesday, May 4th.
