Parents of Beginning Band members should come to one of the meetings this week concerning obtaining an instrument for beginning band .

The first meeting will be Monday night, August 24, 2009 at 6:00 P.M.  The second opportunity will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 6:00 P.M.  Both meetings will take place in the Clay-Chalkville Middle School Cafeteria. The meetings will start with a short presentation and as soon as you have seen a music dealer individually, your portion is concluded.

We ask that the parents of all students from seventh and eighth periods and those chosen to play tuba, baritone, or french horn from fifth and sixth period come on Monday night. 

We ask that the parents of students in fifth and sixth period who are chosen to play flute, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, and trombone come to the meeting on Thursday night.

If, however, the meeting other than the one we requested fits better with your family's schedule, please just let us know.

Instruments will be delivered on Monday, August 31st and we will begin explaining the care and assembly of the instruments.

Beginning Band shirts will be given out on Monday, August 24th in class and a day will be announced that everyone will wear their shirts.
