The next performances for the Intermediate and Advanced Bands are, perhaps, our most difficult of each year:   District Festival.


The Intermediate Band will perform on February 12th  and the Advanced Band will perform on February 11th. We will publish specific times and locations as they are made known to us.

The bands will be judged by a panel of three very well qualified experts.  Their conclusions will be immediate and very public.

I explain it to the students as the World Series, except you are only going to get one pitch. We either hit a home run or strike out...there is no single or bunt for this event.

The past two years, both bands have each hit their home runs with "Superior" Ratings, or a "Passing Grade." 

But as the band grows in ability, we must attempt more and more difficult music.

So encourage everyone to focus on their District music for the next few weeks!
